“The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.”
So says Paul Cezanne. We’d like to think a Hakurei Turnip could have the same impact.
If that be true, think what this trifecta could do:
Our main part of the season has concluded…our Farm Share CSA has ended until it starts up again in May 2017. Clearly we’re a little punchy here at the end of the season, pondering artist quotes and gorgeous photos of our vegetables. Our vegetables don’t always look like this, but right now they do. Early fall weather was rough here, but November has been kind and December looks promising. Thus, our roots and greens are vibrant – and delicious.
THANK YOU to our amazing members and customers who value the food that we grow (and bake).
We’re a four-season business and we’ll keep harvesting vegetables and baking bread through the winter. (We will likely have no vegetables to pick in February.) We’ll be harvesting any available vegetables on Wednesdays. We’ll be baking bread on Thursdays and Saturdays. Here’s how you can eat our food:
– Visit our self-serve Farm Stand on Thursdays or Fridays. {We’ll post what’s available on Facebook and Instagram }
– Purchase through the online farmers’ market (www.FallLineFarms.com – use code “Holiday2016” to waive the subscription fee).
– Visit us at the Farmer’s Market @ St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in the West End of Richmond (indoors through March, Saturdays, 9-12).
Market Share CSA members: Continue ordering through our site for pick up on Saturdays or select from our booth at the St. Stephen’s market. (You can order into the negatives! Just catch up with us for what you owe.)
