It’s an interesting winter here. Folks were sweating while picking spinach in the greenhouse today. However, spinach was the only thing in the greenhouse available for picking since the zero-degree temps killed so many plants. Alas! Record low temps, followed by a balmy January week, after the hottest year on record, may be the new normal.
Pictured above is lots of super-cold-killed salad greens. We are so sad.
Regardless, picking continues! This week’s harvest includes:
Carrots, Chervil, Parsley, Spinach, Turnips…and our Organic Hearth Baked Bread (Whole Wheat, Sunny Greens, Seed, & Raisin loaves for this weekend). Also available: Pepper Jelly & Tomato Chutney.
2017 Market Share CSA Members: Reserve your selection online to pick up Saturday, January 28th at our farm, at Good Health Herbs, or at the Farmers Market @ St. Stephens.
